As General Counsel, Ms Sue Laker deals with day to day legal matters for the group but also has international management experience in Asia, speaks fluent Chinese and is a Consultant to the UK Government on legal matters relating to China. In addition Sue is Company Secretary for the Independent Power Corporation Plc where she also leads business development for South Asia. Previously Sue has gained experience in the Corporate Finance department of London law firm, Bird & Bird and for ten years she was responsible for the operations of Racal Electronics in China. She is a graduate of the School of Oriental and Asian Studies at London University and was a Kennedy Scholar at Harvard University.
